Lack of Gaga on Grammy Winner List

There has been a huge spark of controversy concerning recording artist Lady Gaga's lack of titles at the Grammy Awards last night. Listeners across the globe seemed outraged that an artist of such high popularity would leave the event without sweeping in the categories she was nominated, particularly the greater acclaimed categories such as album of the year. Perhaps it is just me, but I had no issue with any of the results last night. The Grammys were created to give artists recognition when they excel in a certain area of the music industry. Lady Gaga may in fact be a phenomenon, but I feel her appeal is due to more than musical talent. In an almost modern-day Michael Jackson fashion, her wardrobe and paparazzi shots tend to overpower her identity as a good singer.
